Here is an idea for you. Advise Pres. Trump (the Executive Department) to inform the Legislative Department that signing bills without reading and researching them represents a National Security Risk to The People's Liberty.
Also, The People would like to Advise you to Advise President Trump that he should also recommend that the Legislative Department either be able to defend the bill's constitutionally-supported purpose or he recommends that they don't pass it.
Actually, the President should recommend that these temporarily-seated Public Functionaries (commonly known as legislators) quit writing these FAKE bills that become FAKE laws.
President Trump should ask Senate Majority Leader Thune if he and his fellow functionaries ever take the time to read the words of every bill and research the history of these bills to find out which Article, Section or Clause of the US Constitution gives any of them the delegated authority to pass these unreadable bills that they seem to think is their duty to impose upon us.
I wrote the following nine years ago about FREEDOM not really meaning "Freedom."
I think it could have some relevance to your (Elon Musk's) sentiments shared in a retweet on X of @TheRabbitHole84's remarks about the over 10 million word US so-called "Tax Code."
When FREEDOM doesn't mean "Freedom"
"I was quite surprised to see that two of the most highly regarded conservative Senators in this country; namely Senator Mike Lee of Utah and the 2015 presidential candidate Senator Ted Cruz of Texas recently sponsored or co-sponsored the USA FREEDOM Act of 2015, alongside of some of the most dedicated leftists in that same Senate; namely Senators Chuck Schumer of New York, Al Franken of Minnesota, Barbara Boxer of California and Dick Durbin of Illinois.
Tell me, when our Senators form alliances like that, what does FREEDOM really mean?
Well, most people would roll their eyes if you asked them that question, and they would answer something to the effect of “being left alone to do as you please, duh.” They would be wrong. At least in the legislative sense of the word, they would be wrong.
Now, to my way of thinking, adherence to the Fourth Amendment in the Bill of Rights to the United States Constitution would be “Fulfilling Rights and Ensuring Effective Discipline Over Monitoring.” Simply stated, the Fourth Amendment says, and I quote: “The Right of the People to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.” End quote.
Kris Anne Hall reminds us that clause means that five things must be present before the people’s privacy can be violated: There must be a warrant, there must be probable cause, an Oath or affirmation, a description of the place, and a description of what is to be seized.
She also said "Not three of the above, not four of the above, but all five components must be present before a person or their belongings may be searched or seized."
No acronyms needed; no unreadable amendments added to unreadable prior legislation involved; only 54 very unambiguous words used to define "Freedom" from unreasonable search and seizure.
The "USA FREEDOM Act of 2015" (SB 1123) has over 18, 000 words and three related bills. HR 1056 the “Nuclear Terrorism Conventions Implementation and Safety of Maritime Navigation Act of 2015” has over 5,400 words; S 1649 “The FISA Reform Act of 2015 (FISA stands for Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act)” has over 13,000 words; and S 1318 (the Senate bill that coincides with the above-mentioned House bill) called the “Nuclear Terrorism Conventions Implementation and Safety of Maritime Navigation Act of 2015” has around 4,900 words.
NOTE added 11/16/2024: I do like RFK Jr. but I didn't trust his Uncle Ted and I didn't like Uncle Ted's legislative agenda, the issues he supported, the record of his votes or the FAKE NEWS that supported (and covered for) him.
It might be very useful for the DOGE to advise the President (on behalf of The People) to recommend that each and every public functionary at any and all levels of government sign an Affidavit that states:
“I solemnly swear, under penalty of treason to the United States of America with all its related remedies, that I have read all bills in their entirety, including all previous legislation that is being amended, BEFORE I vote in favor of any of them” (44 words).
Maybe that way we could get our public functionaries to only write legislation that is constitutional, enforceable, readable, understandable and stand alone.
Until then, we do not have FREEDOM, no matter what you call it.
